it's one of those times when words just flitter flatter flutter in and out of your mind. when listening to interpol, smoosh, the counting crows, and the shins and hendrix makes the hour go by faster, smoother, ironically quieter. and in slumber-like liberation you fail to notice but remember: things, stuff, words, even gestures. you just float... then SNAP! hit.snooze. time to wake up man, twilight has passed.

i could not sleep. i move counter-clockwise in bed rumpling sheets, squeezing pillows, eyes blinking along the tick-tock of the clock but to no avail... everything's so quite now and yet i'm stifling my own noises afraid to awaken whatever peace and calmness is left. counting sheep is not even an option i have failed too many times when will my sandman come to dust my eyes with his magic powder and give to me that much coveted SLEEP.
